After Kaneki, Tsukiyama is one of the characters that have had the most
development. In the beginning he was arrogant and selfish but slowly
turned into a caring and compassionate person.
If Tamaki from OHSHC and Regina George had a kid, it would be him.
According to Kaneki, he looks like a model.
But Kaneki isn’t the only one who thinks so… Mirumo’s friends commented that he would make a great model.
It
has been hinted (in the “School of Ghoul” omake and the TG 2016
calendar) that Tsukiyama has a blog on which he talks about flower
meanings and things that interest him. Isn’t that just adorable??
Also, he’s a giant book nerd.
And he’s multilingual. From what we’ve seen, he can apparently speak Japanese, French, English and Italian.
He was fascinated with languages ever since he was little.
Tsukiyama plays the piano so well that he can make a decent living out of playing in jazz bars.
When he was little, he composed his very own song, “Papa’s Glasses,” and according to Mirumo, it turned out splendidly.
AND in “School of Ghoul”, it was hinted that he has a very beautiful voice.
Tsukiyama was so popular in high school that his fan girls bullied Hori for being so close to him.
He
also got a lot of chocolates for Valentine’s Day in elementary school.
Mirumo was worried that he’ll take after his grandfather and become a playboy.
I guess good looks run in the family.
They probably sold their souls in order to get so attractive.
Ishida Sui suggested that Tsukiyama may have made Kaneki’s battle suit for him.
At some point of his life, Shuu also had the Tsukiyama Family Haircut™.
The only question is… who wore it best?
Shuu once spent the whole day looking at his reflection in the mirror.
Tsukiyama is one of those people who need a lot of time to get ready before going out.
He gets upset when Hori takes unflattering photos of him.
He even offered to pay her when she teased him that she’ll use his ugly shot for the grad album.
Hori once threw poop at him and he screamed.
Eyelashes™
Tsukiyama owns at least one pair of heart-patterned boxers (TG 2016 calendar).
Tsukiyama thinks Kaneki is beautifully strong.
Hinami calls him ‘Flower Man’ because he often brought bouquets of flowers to Kaneki’s apartment
Tsukiyama coughed awkwardly after seeing Kaneki shirtless.
Chie teased Tsukiyama about trying to win Kaneki’s trust by using money and pretty much called him a sugar daddy.
One
time, Tsukiyama got drunk with Yomo and ranted about eating Kaneki.
After that he started rambling about how Kaneki is “different” and
“amazingly incredible”.
And yes, Tsukiyama is a very loud and emotional drunk.
Tsukiyama wanted to live with Kaneki and his group.
Tsukiyama
really enjoyed the time he spent with Kaneki and his friends. He misses
all of them, including Banjou and the Gas-Mask Trio.
Tsukiyama once stuck a flower on Banjou’s head.
In the beginning, he wanted to eat Kaneki but gradually started to see him as a friend.
“Let’s spend time together again, Kaneki-kun!”
“I feel so lonely now that we’ve become strangers to each other.”
When Tsukiyama was little, he used to play Chopin while screaming at the top of his lungs in order to calm himself down.
Tsukiyama neglected his feelings for Kaneki for the sake of his family.
Even though he could barely stand on his feet, Tsukiyama was so happy to see Sasaki that managed to get out of his wheelchair and run towards him.
He chose not to tell Sasaki about Kaneki’s past in order to protect him.
Tsukiyama has called Kaneki his “master“ on numerous occasions.
If Tsukiyama ever had the chance to dress Kaneki up, then this is probably what he would make him wear.
When
he was little, he loved playing football with his father. Mirumo used
to be the the goalkeeper and Shuu was the kicker. Mirumo even commented
that in the future Shuu might be very successful playing in a foreign
league.
When he was little, he loved playing Scrabble with Matsumae.
